About 20 years ago, Summit Sports took blokarting from New Zealand to introduce it in The Netherlands. This original activity is highly recommended as part of a staff outing. It is a very accessible activity that can be learned quickly, requires no experience and is also harmless. After a short explanation from an instructor, everyone can get into the blokart and experience the speed of the wind!

It is the wind force that determines that speed. The harder the wind blows, the faster the blokart goes. Think of speeds that can go up to about 50 to 60 kilometers per hour! Fortunately, there is enough room for new speed records on the wide activity beach in Wijk aan Zee.

Blokart Race Edition

The material we use for blokarting comes from the original Blokart brand from New Zealand. Incidentally, one can only speak of ‘blokarting’ when using their materials. If other materials are used, as many providers do, they should be called beach sailors or land sailors, and not ‘blokarts’. In general, these karts are of inferior quality, comfort and safety. Summit Sports introduced the Blokart Race Edition® in 2018, fully equipped with racing cockpit, ultra soft racing tyres and speedometers. As well as an even more spectacular experience, these blokarts offer extra safety and comfort. To complete the picture, we have Blokart Race Overalls for all participants.

The Blokart Race Edition is our standard version of blokarting. Two participants alternate each other during one hour. For the ultimate experience, you can also choose to race on the beach for two hours!

It is also possible to combine blokarting with other activities. A very good combination is for example blokart and powerkiting, but it also goes well with a team sport such as Bubble Soccer.
